Wow… a topic dedicated to Egon's hair. O.o;;;

Contrary to the blog post, I personally don't think his hair was that huge of a factor in my love for this show back in the day and today. And the fact that said blog post complains about his changing his hair in EGB sounds kinda silly to me.

People (well… most people) change their hair style over the years. I'd get tired of having to maintain that big “burrito” after a decade or so. Egon's a man of logic, he'd eventually have to admit that fact when he was like…. 50? I'm sure he tried to keep it going, tried to cling to that aspect of his younger days… but eventually caved. I'm sure it was somewhere around the time he became a university professor.

…. ah… forgot… >.>;;; *hasn't watched EGB in a while*

Still applies though, regardless of my age screw-up. :p

*adds a new thing* THAT or he had to get rid of his hairdo in order to get accepted as a professor at that university. XD

Even now the UK is still behind the US in terms of accepting that comics “aren't just for children”, 20 years ago things were much less developed.

Seriously? The UK gave us “Judge Dredd” and a slew of other rad comics… I find that a little disheartening.

Dredd was a major exception, there have been many efforts, some successful in showing that comics could be targetted to a wider audience than children, when America was well into having Superman, Batman and Spider-man representing its industry, we still had the Dandy and the Beano representing ours to a large extent, quite a different breed of comic.
