Folks, people are trying to start sites and other people are bringing them down, telling them they aren't original, they aren't worthy, blah blah blah. Let em do what they want. It's great to be really crazily original but it's also really hard. I'm convinced everyone's got something to offer in some way, big or small. So let em offer it, huh?

I agree.. let them try as hard as they can. You will never know, they may create something really good. If they don't they won't do too good anyways, but let them feel good that they created something. They contributed something.. don't be a hypocrite.. make a site of your own!

Maybe I'm not being very polite about all this.
It's not about Worthy man. It's about doing something worth seeing and something YOU can be proud of. You won't get any satisfaction from gathering IMDB synopsi and then passing it off as your site.
You can create whatever you want, but this is the code we all went by a few years ago. Maybe it doesn't matter any more.

There is one thing though, don't over hype your site. Chances are, it really isn't that great when it starts out. Don't post every 5 minutes for someone to visit your site. It will only make people not want to even check out the site in the first place. One post will do, no need to bump up all these posts to get visitors.

I still must say that we do need original material but the thing is everything has been done and re-done and the fact of the matter is, doing something original and gb-related is hard now-a-days.

I don't think it's that hard to be original, it's keeping your site unique and making it show who you8 are and what you know that are. And hand coding those pages. lol
