Ever consider this?

Would Ghostbusters 3 be appropriate in the wake of September 11th, 2001? I mean, you take a look at the plot, and you see that NY becomes this hell version of itself, and all these horrible things would be going on in the city, and you just wonder, would GB3, as it was meant to be, be appropriate in these times?

That's a good point, Dr. Spengler, I never really though that conclusion before. But it makes since though.

No it probably wouldn't but I think by the time GB3 rolled around it might not be as obvious.

Look, Sep 11 was bad, very bad, it took hundreds of lives, but that doesn't mean that u cant make disaster movies any more, there will still be movies with skyscrapers being blown up and I don't think GB3 would be prostponed for that!

No, it's stupid to not do a movie because it will remind people of something. This is something that can't be, and shouldn't be, forgotten.

On a different note - I don't think that GB3 should be about Hell or busting the devil. It's just not Ghostbusters.

i agree with RunDMC, infact to help people remember, they should have a big ghost version of the WTC with ghosts walking in and out, then at the end have a dedication so no one gets hurt

Taking out a scene like MIB2, where a very important scene was supose to be in front of the twin towers until Sept. 11th happened, is quite understandable. But cancelling a movie due to do an attack by outside forces is just out of the question. If you can remember back a couple years ago, they made an entire 3 hour movie about Pearl Harbor. So why should anyone think a movie should be cancelled when it's just based in the city of which their was an attack. BUt putting up a ghost version of the towers is just plain taking it to far.

I see no reason why people cant put Sep 11 to the back of their minds and merely repsect the dead, I know it was bad,, but if it's gonna be like it was with Princess Diana almost every month a new program or expose comes out, things will get silly! people should remember it, but not hark back to it, the idea that movies with towers falling cant be made is ridiculous, and so is the idea of a movie with ghosts being cancelled!

The Who Princess Diana thing has calmed down now, but posponing or editing a movie becuase it has the WTC is rediculous, maybe have a mention of a memorial or something. I'm using a “World Trade Memorial Park” as a memorial for those who died in the towers. We should always rember how they ehanced the NY skyline and accept them again. We should also rember those who died so we can make sure they didn't die in vain. smile
