Ever consider this?

First off there is no way in hell, exuse the poor pun, GB3 should be affected by 9/11. Everyone's constently trying to make a quick buck off it. Stores are still selling the t-shirts for love of God. If it's okay to make t-shirts with the twin towers on them what can't there be a movie about diasters in NY. You know sooner or later hollywood is going to do another one that takes place in NY. If we're going to go to extremes why not pull the movie “martial law” of the shelves. afterall it was about a terrorist attack in NY. or die hard for that matter. people are just too sensitive.

Second Lord Vego, I just want to say that I love the name, banner and quote. Now that's comedy.

The worst WTC banning thing I have heard is the new Lord of the Rings movie: The Two Towers.

Some people think the name should be changed! It's the name of a classic book, has absolutely nothing to do with 9/11 and this thing is really going too far.

The only people who can be offended by such things are those who actually lost loved ones in the towers - and they won't forget it anyway. No one will.

Lots of movies feature tragedies that someone can relate to. Such as a film with a murder, mugging, accident etc. You can't ban things because they may upset a few - it's up to those few to be careful of what they watch.

y wouldn't a ghost version of the towers be good? they did it with the Titanic, it would be the SAME EXACT thing, only there r people that were around when the WTC collapsed and there is like on one alive that first heard about the Titanic.

I think the titanic incident was at least a few years earlier smile Personally I don't see a big deal with it. It was very tragic indeed and a terrible event we'll never forget and shouldn't but and don't mean to sound rude or disrespectful by any means but…come on now.

I agree. I see no reason on why the movie would be inappropiate. Why? Because of 9-11? Give me a break! Bad things happen all the time everywhere. What about the Pentagon? What about the people on the plane who crashed on the way to Washington? I don't hear anyone talking about that! All I hear is about the Twin Towers. And then there's the fact that GB3 has nothing to do the terrorist attacks at all! I can see if the WTC was the center of the movie then people would have something to be upset about but this?! You gotta be kiddin' me. Seriously, people need to simply just get over it. But I have to admit that the idea of having ghost versions of the towers in the movie is just going way too far. Now that's pushing it. If they would put that in the script the movie would never hit theaters.

“Ghostbusters III” would be showing events which have NOTHING to do with real-life terrorist attacks, so I fail to see the problem.

“Some people” need to have their spleens ripped out and fed to dread Cthulhu.

It is a pretty good idea to have the whole Twin Towers idea; but not right now. GBII had the Titanic arriving, but it had arrived 75 years late. Thus it wasn't a big deal at all. But having the ghosts of the World Trade Center only a year after the event, while the thousands affected by it are still in grief and turmoil is a bit much. Maybe it's a possibility, though, for Ghostbusters VII.

i'd like to add to my old comment. the twin towers ghost idea would be kinda cool as a passing scene. and if doe tastefully it could work and be a pretty impressive scene in the movie. and since the movie isn't likely to come out in the next couple years, probably 2 years is the shortest time we'd have to wait in my opinion i don't have any facts on this it's just what i think so don't jump all over me. so i think there'd be plenty of time for the healing to be done to the point it wouldn't hurt.

one last thing gb VIII now i think that's just pushing it a bit.

People get shot, and theres still movies with people getting shot. It really wouldnt seem to matter. I never really liked that “supposed” plot for GB3 though very much.
