Ever consider this?

I definately think it would be appropriate. We can't stop putting New York in movies, we have to get on with our lives, Ghostbusters 3 would be awesome, no matter when it came out. As long as they didn't do anything about 9-11 like bust a wtc ghost or something, it's all good.

I wouldn't have any problem with this, as I've written a GB/ Sept 11 crossover then I feel there's nothing wrong with it. We need to start showing the WTC again, censorship haults the process of moving on, we need to embrace the towers for what they were and are and include them in our storylines if we want.

yes of course have gb3. in post 9-11, we all need something to comfort us. the ghost twin towers deal… that could go either way. i would love to see someones vision of that, but it could possibly hurt new yorkers. and definitely never even think about “busting a wtc ghost”. that would just rip somebodies heart out and spit on it. i do agree that we should move on, but still we must show respect for the grieving families. one last thing,,, gb7? yeah the way this whole process works, we will all be dead and dust by the time that happens.

Yeah, my idea for GB VII was just a joke… I honestly don't even believe that a third movie will be made. And I still wouldn't advise doing anything regarding the world trade center just yet!

You've got all backwards - GB3 would offer an escape from reality, in which the good guys are triumphant over bad in a city that has had its fair share of maltreatment. GB3 is EXACTLY what people need, like the American references in Spiderman.

If anything, GB3 would make Y more attractive, terrorist are supposed to stop our daily lives, and make us live in fear, they can't stop us from making a movie.
