I demand that you add a working firepole and arcade machine to your parents garage as part of this project.

I just finished washing the car and as soon as my brother gets home, we're going to take everything out of the back, take a shop-vac and clean out the inside (hopefully I can get rid of all things living and dead in the car). I'm going to take a second round of pictures, a much heftier round. Anything special you guys would like to see?

I've been dead for centuries, but hey, this is cool! Good luck with your modification.

Just got the newsletter update, congratulations on your find. Out of curiousity, are you planning to modernize the mechanical componants, or is this a ‘pure’ replica? I know it's anathema to most of the automotive restoration community, but I've always been of the opinion that it's the apperance that counts the most when it comes to classic cars, not the archaic construction of its engine.

I greatly look forward to following this project. Good luck!

Congrats on the addition to your family!
Well, there goes the neighborhood.
Where will you store it? It won't fit in a standard garage…you must protect that future gem.

Thanks, and great question. The engine is original, yet it was rebuilt just ten years ago. Mechanically, the car is in pretty great shape. The body, however, has seen better days and the rear fender modifications will be a pain to undo. To answer your question directly, I will do my best to keep things original, but when I can I will modernize if it makes sense.

Rest assured, I have a storage space all picked out. It will settle there during the winter and I will begin the restoration during the spring with my dad in my parent's three car garage.
