I recently sold my ‘59 Superior to a lady in Perth, WA. Also, another ’59 MM Combo is on its way to Australia. A guy in the Cadillac LaSalle Club bought it on Ebay. He has 3 other hearses in his collection.
The lady that bought my ‘59 is also importing a ’64 MM from Nevada. The ‘59 was featured in a 4 page article in Unique Cars this month if anyone’s interested in seeing it. I'll scan it.
If you're curious to know why I sold the hearse, it was just one of half-a-dozen cars that I would like to have owned in my lifetime. It was a fun car, but really impractical and not suitable for everyday driving. The car I have now is a 1964 Cadillac Convertible, which is also a really fun car! Believe it or not I can drive the ‘64 everyday and almost anywhere I want to go.
I’d also love to see any progress pics from Chad. Anyone who owns a classic car knows it costs a lot of money, so unless Chad is a millionaire it will take a few years for it to look good again. Even the body and paint can cost up to $20,000, let alone all the specialist GB stuff.
