Makes me wish I could jump out to Chicago and help you out with that baby. Good luck with it, and I'm sure it will turn out very nicely. Just watch out for the freaks who will want to burn you on a cross after turning it into an Ecto 1 replica :-) .

I'm really looking forward to the magnetic logos, they will really add some style to the car during the restoration process. I plan on assembling an organized and much nicer looking page for the Ecto replica in the coming days, and as soon as I get the magnets I will post images as well as a link so others can get them for their own cars.

Mileage on the title says “N/A”, but the odemeter reads 47,000. The engine is the original, but it was rebuilt, so give or take.

in some states, the title won't state the mileage of the vehicle once it reaches a certain age.

You know what? After having the car just one day, the most unbelievable part of Ghostbusters is not the existence of ghosts, nor the catching and entrapment of ghosts. The most unbelievable aspect of Ghostbusters is the fact that in EVERY scene the Ecto-1 is in, the Ghostbusters just slip into a parking space in downtown manhattan, right in front of their destination.

As a former owner of an Ecto-1 replica (my base car was a 1971 Olds 98 Cotner Bevington ambulance) and former member of the PCS (Professional Car Society) I can personally attest to the fact that your car will in fact PLUMMET in actual value if you convert that old beauty to an Ecto-1 clone! A mint condition 1959 MM is worth nearly $50,000,however after you butcher it into an Ecto it wil be worth 1/2 that much. My car was fun but after awhile the attention it drew was too much, and it became unfun!!! You will not believe the RIGHTS people give themselves regarding YOUR car! You will be miserable in about 2 years time guaranteed!
