Stupid question time! So other people dont have to bother asking….

WHY CANT WE PLAY THE SIREN OR FLASH THE BLUE LIGHTS UNLESS WE'RE IN PARK!?

If you're serious, because red and blue lights are for emergency vehicles only, especially when the car is in motion. I'm not 100% positive about the siren, but I would think the same deal would apply. Its all highly illegal.

Other color lights will probably vary by state laws. In general you'd only have any extra lights on when a vehicle is in park.

That sums it up pretty well actully. Now lets say you own a classic ambulance (like from the 70s) and your a paramedic right now you can use your ambulance sometimes. Most owners of Professional cars (hearses, limousines, combos (landau and limo), ambulances (landau and limos), and Flower cars) meet once a yr at a big meet and one night all the ambulance and combo drivers put on there lights. Its a pretty site.

**EDIT** Just to let you all know Chad doesnt own a combo nor a ambulance. He owns (the correct term) a 1959 Cadillac Miller Meteor limo style hearse. When I say limo style i mean all the windows that surround the car. If it was a combo like in the movies he would have had 2 jump seats and a groove for the stretcher.

Could you send me that mp3 of the siren? I've been looking for it for about.. ohh… 19 years. LOL.If not that's kool. Just that I'm pretty sure that siren on loop could lul me to sleep at night…

I think he was either referring to the lights (Sometimes reffered as ‘sirens’) or the actual siren housing.

The housing in itself is a rare part to find… he may have to get a reproduction made. (*winston)

were all well aware of the long process ahead but that Doesnt mean that we cant be fun with it. discuss lights & sirens! go nuts! just because the car needs some work actually Finding the lights and sirens are a real treasure hunt of their own! finding screen accurate parts for the car May end up being Half the job!
so lets get a little goofy. someone photoshop the roof rack onto chads new car. Someone post links to some mp3's, pics, vids, referance pages! lets look up state laws with the legalities behind the ecto's roof racks lighting & sound systems.

You’re so lucky to actually own a car that nice, I have an ECTO-1 but it’s a 3D model that I can only use in Video games.

I really wish I had a real one like yours.

The only good thing I can say about having an ECTO-1 in a video instead of real life is that it cost no money and I don’t need to store it in a garage
