1. EXT - COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY – DAY


Columbia University is looking clean and shiny. The New York sky is bright and warm.

Lots of students are heading inside the main building.



CUT TO:


2. INT – LECTURE HALL – AS BEFORE

Hundreds of students fill the lecture hall from top to bottom.

A loud voice is echoing from below.

Every student is listening and watching with their fullest attentions.

The lecturer is DR. EGON SPENGLER; he is a tall man in his mid-fifties, a little bit rounded, with medium-length black hair, which is starting to turn grey. His thin-framed spectacle sits firmly on his face.

EGON is pointing to a projection screen behind him.

There is a chemical diagram on the screen.

EGON
Are there any questions?



The hall goes silent until one student shouts out.


ANNOYING STUDENT
Shouldn’t you be out catching ghosts?


EGON lets out a small smile and shakes his head.


EGON
I think you have me mistaken for somebody else.


ANNOYING STUDENT
No! You were a ghostbuster! I remember you man!


EGON’S smile is persistent. He refuses to look annoyed.


EGON
Are there any other questions?


ANNOYING STUDENT
Where are all the ghosts now?


EGON slides his glasses from his face and begins to clean them with his jumper.

He then slowly puts them back on to his face.


EGON
Ghosts aren’t real. Just stories to

Scare little children who won’t listen to their parents.


The ANNOYING STUDENT stays silent now.

EGON takes a little sigh of relief.


EGON
Now for tomorrow I want you to read

Pages 10 to 40 in your textbooks.

There will be a quiz.

3. INT – LECTURER’S OFFICE – AS BEFORE


The sign on the door reads DR. EGON SPENGLER and below that it says DR. RAYMOND STANTZ.

Just below that there is a sign that reads “NO GHOSTBUSTERS!”

4. INT – INSIDE THE OFFICE – AS BEFORE


The office is mostly white, clean, with two desks at either end of it. There are lots of books in shelves and a nice view out the window.

On the wall there is a group photo with PETER, RAY, WINSTON, EGON, DANA and a young boy, OSCAR, who looks about 15 years of age. They are standing outside the Statue of Liberty.

RAY has aged well. He is still tall, and a little bit bigger around the waist, and his hair hasn’t receded too badly.

He is wearing a pair of reading glasses as he types a report on his laptop.

The DOOR OPENS and EGON walks into the room.

EGON slumps down onto his chair and slams his slim leather briefcase on his desk.

RAY looks up at him from his laptop.


RAY
More annoying ghostbusters hunters?


EGON
Four in two classes.


RAY
I had five.


EGON
Touché


EGON opens up his briefcase and takes out his diary.

He opens it up at the day’s date and scrolls down it with his eyes.

EGON then rubs his forehead slowly as he looks at what he has written in his diary.


EGON
I think my diary is wrong.


RAY
(still typing)
Nope…it’s tonight.


EGON
Is it really?

RAY
Yep.


EGON
(sarcastically)
Great.

5. EXT – THE OLD FIREHOUSE – EVENING

THE FIREHOUSE is dirty and beat up. There are cracks in places and a yellow tape all around the entrance.

It looks dusty and dim.

The area around it isn’t much better. It’s degraded over the years and it looks tired and exhausted.



CUT TO:


6. INT – THE RECEPTION AREA – AS BEFORE


RAY and EGON walk to the reception area where they are greeted by JANINE TULLEY, LOUIS TULLEY, their little 5 year old girl SAMANTHA, and WINSTON ZEDDEMORE.

JANINE has aged well, looking younger now than she did back in 1989. Her red hair is long and tied back into a pony tail.

LOUIS still has the same face, but with thinner glasses that almost match JANINE’S. He is wearing a grey suit and looks very happy to see everybody else.

SAMANTHA is small, wearing a pretty pink dress. Her hair is blonde and tied up in pig-tails.

WINSTON hasn’t changed much at all. He is still tall, with a good build, short black hair and a great smile. He still has a moustache.

Everybody smiles and hug one another to say hello.


JANINE
It’s great to see you guys again.

It’s been too long.


LOUIS
We were so excited about coming down here…

It’s all we could talk about when we were

Driving down from the country.


JANINE
He wouldn’t shut up.


Everybody apart from LOUIS laughs.

LOUIS looks upset until JANINE kisses him on the forehead.


WINSTON
I can’t believe tomorrow they are

Gonna tear this place down.


EGON
It’s about time. It’s physically dead.

This whole neighbourhood has seen much

Better days.


DANA
We all have Egon.


They all turn around to the main doors as footsteps echo as they get closer and closer to the group.

It’s DANA BARRET. DANA is looking sensational; her hair is glowing softly, reaching down to her shoulders. Her long legs are covered by a dark long skirt, and she is wearing a white blouse.

DANA is alone.

RAY is the first to move and hugs DANA tightly.


DANA
It’s so good to see you Ray.


EVERYBODY then hugs DANA.

There are smiles for a second.

RAY looks behind DANA, looking for somebody.


RAY
No Peter, huh?


RAY’S voice is low, and disappointed.

DANA lowers her head.


DANA
Sorry…he just didn’t want to…

You know…


EVERYBODY nods their heads with understanding.


DANA
…he sends his best though.


DANA walks past the group and begins to look at the FIREHOUSE.

Memories strike her mind. In her head she hears the first meeting between her and PETER VENKMAN.

DANA smiles, laughs a little bit.

The rest of the group begins to chat, their conversation becomes incoherent.

Then there is a LOUD BANG from the main doors.

Everybody stops talking.

Another LOUD BANG

RAY looks curious.


HIGH PITCHED VOICE
Oh my god! Somebody help me!


DANA continues to look around the firehouse, while the others eerily make their way towards the darkness, where the voice came from.


WINSTON
Are you all right?


HIGH PITCHED VOICE
They’re coming to get me!

Oh God! Somebody help me.


The group continue to descend into the darkness.

It’s almost silent.


PETER
Boo!


PETER VENKMAN jumps out of the darkness with a crazy look on his face.

Everybody jumps back with fright.

PETER VENKMAN looks almost the same. His hair is now grey, he is sporting a grey beard and he has a few more wrinkles, but it is still PETER.

They all smile as PETER hugs everybody.

Little STEPHANIE looks scared.

PETER gets down on to his knee and takes out a CHOCOLATE BAR.

PETER gives STEPHANIE the chocolate and STEPHANIE grins.


STEPHANIE
Thank you uncle Venkman.


PETER
You’re welcome sweetie. Now be a

Good little girl and help me stand up.


RAY pulls PETER up from the ground.

PETER’S face cringes as he stands up.


PETER
I’m getting too old to do that.


WINTSON
Nice trick Peter.


PETER
Good to see you to Zeddmore.

I like it so far. It would be nice to see more. I have one question though, what happened about the containment unit and all the ghosts in it?

yeah that was nice. I want to see more and Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys, glad you like. When I get time inbetween making my own films I'll work on the GB III script more.

As for the containment unit… I plan to explore that more later

I'm intrigued, Spengler and Stantz acting a little like Indiana Jones (Avoiding certain questions). Additionally, I'm interested in knowing what's led to their once againg becoming the butt of jokes for the paranormal community, and actually gettinf to the point of disavowing knowlegde of ever being the Ghostbusters.

You'll just have to wait and see why they are so disgruntled at their lives as Ghostbusters…

it'll all come out in the end

well, when I write it lol :p

Glad people are liking it so far - it's really fun to write, but I just don't want to fu** these characters up.

I'll post more when I have it

Not many people are going to be happy with Janine and Louis being married…

To me, it's the way it was going at the end of GB 2, and it's just natural progression. If people aren't happy with it then they don't have to read my script I just write what I like.

Yeah I have to agree with Peter says. I personally don't like that paring but it's your sciprt so do as you wish. I can't wait for more parts.

I forgot about this script that I wrote.. lol…

I would love to go back to it if I weren't already writing my own feature film…
