It's this simple…. bring new people in as the gbs and have it based on extreme ghostbusters… none of the originals really want to be in GB3 so why keep pushin em. OK yeah… give the originals a couple scenes helpin out the new guys and then stop. After all the GB things that have been out Etrm GB is the only option left for GB3. Personally i think it would be a great movie, bring in new sights on ghostbusting new equipment but still its all the same it's ghostbusters. I know you all want the originals but that's not gonna happen.. and Will Smith and Ashton… COME ON wtf… it couldn't work, it'll seem like they're trien to redo the original ghostbusters just with different ghosts… so… make GBIII, just base it on Extreme GB

You should read up on the facts. That's essentially what GBIII was going to be. There were to be new trainees. And also, the originals DO want to be in the movie, as everyone wants them to be. All except Bill Murray.

I'm cool with a GB:NG kind of thing. It makes sense. However, now the trick becomes what sort of characters. XGB is like the United Colors of Bennetton, very politically correct. Is this the route you really want the new film to take?

Then, we consider what “old school” should be in the film. Which original characters do we want to see again? more importantly, which ones would logically still be involved in paranormal investigations 20 years after the original adventure?

i think EGB would work, cept Garret would walk. dont know who'd be casted though. its hard to say, cuz i cant see any other actors in GB uniforms. and yeah, Will SMith and Ashton Kutcher ? well Smith maybe, he actually has comedic talents, Ashton Kutcher is just plane retarded i hate that guy, i have no idea how he got so popular. but Johnny Depp can pull of any roll.

If they do it, it should be unkowns. Make us get to know the characters all over again. there's no shortage of good comedic talent out there. The trick would be to create the right chemistry between the players.The originals all came up from Second City, so I feel they should go back to the source and get some actors who have worked together for a while. That would make the relationships between them more believeable.

and no, the originals shoud NOT be in GB3. It should stand on its own.
The set-up from XGB could be used with a different instructor, not egon, and maybe set in a different city.

The idea should be a GB franchise, removed from it's source, and forced to deal with things their own way.
