While surfing the net and randomly looking up anything relating to the upcoming comic, I found these. This website has pinup art for 88mph Studios' GHOSTBUSTERS drawn by artist Jim Muniz. Muniz has no relation to the design team of 88mph Studios, nor does he work for the company in any form. I believe he's just a fan. Still, I thought his artwork was pretty cool and I'm posting it here for show. (*peter)

Woah! That is some freaky stuff.

And while it is…interesting…

I'm glad it isn't the actual style for the comic…it seems too Tim Burtony.

Not that Tim Burton's style is bad, but just not a style that would work with GB methinks.

I never thought of it before, but how great would a Ghostbusters movie directed by Tim Burton be?

Sebastien, will the fan-art be in every issue or will it be a TPB extra?

1. Sebastien, will the fan-art be in every issue or will it be a TPB extra?

R : It may happen, not every issue though. Not because I don't like fan art but mainly due to the time involved to do so. Getting the hi-res, the copyright issue, etc.

Im extremely excited about the fan art section. I do many different styles, but I am known around here for only doing cartoony type stuff. So in the fan art Ill be imitating the same style as the comic, which will be very fun for me, as a rookie artist.

uhm, wha?

For one, is it really Fan Art if the person who produced it has already transcended from “Fan artist” to “Published Illustrator”? Didn't Jim work on a Spawn title or something? Not to say he isn't a fan, but I'd like to think theres a line that seperates fan artist and work for hire.

For twosies, Ludicris.. your post confuses me. Did sebastien say they were excepting fan art for pin up stuff or something?

I think people are getting the wrong impression from the title of this thread, Jim Muniz isn't so much a fan artist as he is a working sequential artist who impressed the holy bajeebus out of Sebastien, and blah bleoo bleep blah boo.

Incase you can't tell, I just ran out of gas on the way to my point. I don't believe that regular old fans like us are going to be featured in a pin up section in the back of the book. If I'm wrong, I go to jail.

Its that simple.
