Are any of you guys excited about this movie? I think I am it appears to look good and I think the switching powers thing will add some good comic relief. Plus I like the guy who plays Doom. Nip/Tuck is one of my favorite shows. I think this one might be a little better than SM3 unfortunetly

Its all a matter of opinion, as I'm more into Spider-Man then Fantastic 4. I will see F4, Rise Of The Silver Surfer. And I did buy the F4 extended edition yesterday. When I already owned the original release. By the way, the original DVD release is for sale if anyone is interested before I list it on eBay.

I am just going on assumption. SM3 was awesome, I was just let down by it, I thought PoTC 3 was the best sequel this summer so far. I actually didn't like the first Fantastic Four. I'm going to this one purely from the preview. So just going off the preview I think it might be better, but who knows, I thought the first one would rock, but unfortunetly, I actually almost asked for my money back, lol. I'm a big F/X fan and this one looks like it's got good ones.

Of course I will go see it, I didn't like sp3 very much but it tags along with the good movies of this summer… even if we all know how the f4 movie will end: “one of the team will receive his team's power to win over the bad guy.”

I get what you mean. I didn't quote you on it, to me you can't compare the pirates sequel (which I saw) to a super hero movie like Spider-Man. Different genres, different movie studios. About F4, I heard/read (haven't watched the extended edition yet) that for the first F4, they were trying to figure out how to make all the powers seem real. ie: movements of say Mr. Fantastic when he stretches. With so many FX shots, Fox used 4 different companies. Maybe that was a mistake since I thought the effects were cheesy. At the time I thought Marvel (I said Marvel, I know other companies are involved) had made other FX super hero movies (mainly Spidey) and this is what they came up with F4? :-O Going by the new F4: Rise Of The Silver Surfer, maybe they've figured that out. And/or only using hopefully 1 FX company. I'm sure the CGI technology has evolved as well since F4 was made.

I get what your sayin about the F/X, which actually seems to be a great summer feature this year, most previes I've seen so far looks like they've got quality F/X. When I quoted you, I meant no harm, it was just for reference mainly so ppl knew what I was talking about, sometimes I've had ppl confused so I just always do that now, so if you took offense my bad. I also see what you mean about the sequels, I just look at it differently. I break down movies into tons of categories, and every movie can have lots them, for example: Sequels-PoTC 2&3, SM 2&3, Comic Book-F4 1&2, Ghost Rider, SM 1,2,&3

Thats just a brief example of how I compare. For another example, Comic book-wise I think depending on the F4 sequel, I like the Spiderman series better. Sequel-wise I lke the PoTC series better than the Spiderman series.

So thats a little bit on how I think, we actually would probably agree on most stuff, lol. I just say things differently.
