Can't say I've played them actually.

But I have to add that almost all of the Genesis games were awesome. Everything had a video game. Even 7-Up.

Umm in no particular order:

Primal Rage (any platform really, but the arcade one had better graphics)
Killer Instinct (SNES)
Killer Instinct Gold (N64)
Sonic and Knuckles locked onto Sonic 2 (Genesis)
Final Fantasy VIII (PS1)
Tekken 3 (PS1)
Tekken Tag (PS1)
Bloody Roar 2 (PS1)
Super Mario Allstars (SNES)
Star Wars Episode 1 Racer (N64)
Warpath Jurassic Park (PS1)

Does anyone else agree with me that video games lost something good when they became more concerned with the graphics than making a good game? ie: most systems above 16 bits

YES! I completely agree! And that is also what everyone seems to be concerned with now when reviewing games.

This is why I play GameCube. I was just going to explain why, but I got lazy.

I don't find that true. I feel like I'm growing with what they've become, and it doesn't bother me. If I feel like playing anything like that, I just go back and play a 16 bit game, because I still love them just as much.

But, there are times when graphics are focused on too much and destroy the gameplay.

For me, I'll say Dead or Alive 3…
