I did a search, but couldn't find anything. I've looked around the internet to find a solution to this problem, but couldn't find anything, thought I'd try here. Most people, in forums, say they have a problem, but have yet to find a solution. I figure many of us would have the game F.E.A.R. since it's subject matter is deep in the paranormal.
I recently bought FEAR for the PC. I have a pretty decent computer (Intel Core2 2.0g, 4gig ddr2 ram, ATI radeon HD 2600xt, 53gig free of 300gig hard drvie, 500watt power supply, and dreaded vista). When I play the game for about ten minutes, it will completely shut down my computer; as in the machine just turns off. I've updated all of my drivers, taken the side off of the computer (for added heat dissipation), and uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Has anyone had this problem? Know of any solutions? Any help would be appreciated. I'm going to take the game to my friend's house this weekend and install it on his computer to see if it runs (he has a similar computer, but with an Nvidia card).
From the several ten minute intervals I've played of the game, it's freaking awesome. I'd recommend it - if you play it on a console.
