Did anyone actually LIKE the 80's update of the Filmations GB cartoon? I saw the intro the other day and boy, it looks worse than I remember. It's got some weird-looking good guys, including Donkey Kong's distant cousin and a lame jalopy as the surrogate Ecto-1. The villains looked weird as well. The theme song was SO cheeseball…

oh yeah, I remember that series. Geez, what a memory…I was trying to forget it. But did you know (which I didn't when I saw it the first time) that series has nothing to do with the Ghostbusters we all know and love? It's actually based on an old movie from way back, like Abbot and Costello or something like that. The film was called “The Ghostbusters” and it was in blacknwhite. I'll have to look it up again. See, I thought the cartoon was spposed to be Ray and Egon's children, since they had the same names. I think the names are actually inherited from the original blacknwhite movie.

ok, I was wrong. It was a color live action series in 1975 starring Larry Storch and forrest Tucker from F-Troop. The gorrilla, Tracy,is in the series, as well as GhostBuggy, the amazing trnsforming car. They fought the ghosts with a “de-materializer”, which made the ghosts disappear.I was close on the name thing. One character was named Eddie Spenser, as opposed to Egon Spengler. Close enough for me.
