Quick question to those with flightsuits…. Where'd you get ‘em?? I figure it’s high time I assemble one myself, but where can I get a nice, slick, really hot looking uniform, for a fair price? …I'd like to get an olive green, or navy blue, or grey uniform… like from GB2, and not have it be really baggy. I think it'd look cool. ..Any suggestions would really help me out here.

Word is spreading around that the elbow pads that have been considered the most film accurate have just stopped being produced, so grab them while they are still in stock. They are Markwort Volleyball kneepads. You will definately want a size large. You can get them off of ebay, or do a yahoo search for them and they will be easy to find.

The flight suit you can get from flightsuits.com. They will run you $120.00 U.S. or more, but expect to pay that for a new suit. You can get a surplus suit for as low at 20 bucks from several sources, but unless your a tiny person all the way around, you probably wont find one in your size. The largest suit I've seen that was surplus was a 44R. I'm 6'6“ and need a 48L. To be a pilot you need to be small, so there aren't alot of large used suits.

Boots, you have several options. I use the 10” side zip paratrooper boots by Corcoran from uscav.com. Not 100% accurate, but good luck finding a zipper boot with a metalic zipper anymore.

Pistol belts, any army surplus store can get them. I purchased two for 8 bucks.

Chemical gloves, again, any army surplus store. I purchase mine for 2 bucks a pair brand new.

Then you just need a black t-shirt and you're golden. You say you already have your patches all lined up, so then all you would need to do is start getting your belt greeblies and doodads and build a pack.

Thanks for the tips & everything Firefighter. The proton pack will probably never happen for me seeing as how I'm very poor and without construction skills like that. Maybe in 10 yrs when I've got the big cash saved up I'll buy a pack (if they still exist), but that's a pretty big maybe… I just want the uniform right now…
