Word is spreading around that the elbow pads that have been considered the most film accurate have just stopped being produced, so grab them while they are still in stock. They are Markwort Volleyball kneepads. You will definately want a size large. You can get them off of ebay, or do a yahoo search for them and they will be easy to find.
The flight suit you can get from
flightsuits.com. They will run you $120.00 U.S. or more, but expect to pay that for a new suit. You can get a surplus suit for as low at 20 bucks from several sources, but unless your a tiny person all the way around, you probably wont find one in your size. The largest suit I've seen that was surplus was a 44R. I'm 6'6“ and need a 48L. To be a pilot you need to be small, so there aren't alot of large used suits.
Boots, you have several options. I use the 10” side zip paratrooper boots by Corcoran from
uscav.com. Not 100% accurate, but good luck finding a zipper boot with a metalic zipper anymore.
Pistol belts, any army surplus store can get them. I purchased two for 8 bucks.
Chemical gloves, again, any army surplus store. I purchase mine for 2 bucks a pair brand new.
Then you just need a black t-shirt and you're golden. You say you already have your patches all lined up, so then all you would need to do is start getting your belt greeblies and doodads and build a pack.
