While Dave Starkey is busy, he has given me permission to talk about this particular subject.
As just 2 of six GB fans in our hometown, me and Dave have decided to finally desing a GB franchise, the Florida Ghostbusters (or Floridian Ghostbusters—FGB). We have the packs and the flight suit, and we are both currently reading a HTML book on web desing. The sight will contain stories (written by both me and Dave), pics, news, a chat room and films

Oh, yeah. How do you get into the Ghostbusters International after your franchise is established, BTW?

FLORIDA!! COOL! My five friends and I also have had several cases in Florida (The Orlando area to be specific). I'm glad I found that your team already exists, or I would have accidently used the Florida Ghostbusters name. Guess I'll have to start thinking of a new name….

Amazing! Me and my friends always thought we were the only Ghostbusters from Florida, as you have Illinois and Tennessee. This is cool to know that we are not alone in our ghostbusting adventures.

GBI's official suggestion to new/up and coming franchises is not to name yourself “Your home state”-Ghostbusters.

For example: If the Middle Tennessee Ghostbusters had just been named the Tennessee Ghostbusters, that would have left no room for future franchises in their home state (ie: East or West Tennessee Ghostbusters). MTGB serves the middle portion of the state of Tennessee.

In naming your new franchise, think of the portion of your state that you cover, Northern, Southern, East, West, Middle? Or will your office strictly serve a particular city in your state? Keep the name generic enough to allow for future GBI expansion in your state or region.

Just a few things to keep in mind.

Many good suggestions, Mr. Tully. I believe I should be fair to Dr. Pellegrino as he is a fellow Floridian. We basically occupy all of North Florida(we all live in Fernandina Beach) and make our rounds in that city, plus Yulee, Hilliard, Jacksonville, and middle Georgia. But basically our home base is Fernandina Beach.
The website I am currently working on is two things: It serves as a way for all future Ghost-Heads to log into to, and it is also the newly named North Florida Ghostbusters first site for stories, news, and pics. As I said before in a letter to you, we will contact you when it is up and running.

Perhaps I should give a quick preview of The North Florida Ghostbusters website, just to generate interest.

The site will include not just stuff about the NFGB's but it will give first time users a look into the cultural impact of the Ghostbusters films and cartoons. It will also include profiles of both Real Ghostbusters, Extreme Ghostbusters, and bios on Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Sigourney Weaver, Ernie Hudson, Rick Moranis, and perhaps the *supporting* people who are not that familiar with the lives and work of Annie Potts and David Margulies. Plus there will be the short list of *cameo* players that appeared in the films: Cheech Marin, Ben Stein, Peter Macnicol, and some more that I have to look up.

As for NFGB, this will also be our first site, so it won't be much. As for those that don't know, it includes Rick Brewster(that's my character), Dave Starkey (who has been absent from this board for awhile), his sister Heather, Jean Stantz, Ernie Nickless. The fanfictions are planned to be written by me, Dave, and Jean.

I look forward to the site coming up, and hope you will too.

Awsome! Ok then, we shall be the Central Florida Ghostbusters. We live in Altamonte Springs (A suburb of Orlando) and should be able to cover anywhere from Daytona Beach to Tampa, probably as north as Ocala or Gainsville and maybe as south as West Palm. This leaves Miami, the Gulf coast north to about Ft. Myers and the Keys for a possible South Florida francise, assuming that in the future there would be one. I'm currently working on a website, but it may be awhile since I'm using the site to learn DHTML, the use of Flash and the use of Dreamweaver. Ok, well, good luck with the North Florida division, Rick!

Good news to everyone who is antcipating the NFGB site! I have just added two new fanfictions to the STORIES part of my site.

The first will be GHOSTBUSTERS 2034. This is the future of ghostbusting and will be a possible series in the future if I pull the right strings.

The second is the Next Ghostbusters, the truly next ghostbusters after the originals retire. I haven't thought up a name yet, so they will be called The Next Ghostbusters.

I hope everyone is looking forward to my site!
