Foreshadowing and Inconsistent Decorating

Hey everyone! I'm new. I have loved Ghostbusters since I was very little (well… more like I have feared and therefore loved Ghostbusters). I think the thing that distinguishes this movie from the rest is the almost etherial and somewhat odd way it was filmed. The lighting, the cameras and the sets all have a certain look to them that I consider to be very much copyrighted to Ghostbusters. Anyway speaking of sets I have always admired Mr. DeCuir's sets for this movie, especially Dana's ‘penthouse’. I wish i could live there and after seeing this movie probably over 100 times I have started to notice various little glitches in sets. Maybe they were intentional… maybe they were slips and went un-noticed until I came along with my obsessive compulsive eye for detail. I'll leave it up to you.

I have attatched 3 different images and will explain them in order:

First pic: Dana's Kitchen. She says she left her apartment and never went back after the ‘incident’ but someone (maybe Zuul…) got the box of Cheezits out and forgot to put them back… messy. They also did away with the festive ‘harvest cornucopia’ on the counter top. Then they spun the butcher block around and finally they messed around with the knifes hanging on the wall under the cupboard.

Second Pic: Dana's Living room. A great deal of time did pass between the time at which we first met Dana and the point where she was very much violated by her own chair… and in that time apparently she ditched her chrome reading lamp for an identical version of her other table lamp. Sneaky.

Third Pic: This isn't so much an inconstancy but rather what appears to be some sort of subliminal foreshadowing! In the top picture we see a Richeson hand manikin. Apparently hands popping out of furniture is something with which Ms. Barrett is already familiar. And in the bottom picture we see some worldly artifacts probably collected on holiday somewhere. Could they be Sumerian sculptures? Perhaps depicting some sort of.. Deity?

Well thats all I have for now. I hope you don't think I'm completely insane. I'm just a regular Ghosthead such as yourselves tell me what you think!

Well Dana did she say she left her apartment, but she didn't say she left it messy did she? Then why are the eggs still there? Well you wouldn't clean a body up you in a murder crime scene now would.

Dana is also the kind of person who keeps things clean and likes things organized. Perhaps she likes to switch things around after a while. My mom does that from time to time to try and keep the room fresh.
