Full Size Vigo Prints?

I know an artist that I'm trying to get to make me an exact smaller scaled replica of the Viggo painting. Once I have that, I could easy scan it at a very high resolution and blow it up to full sized and print them using the large-scale printers at my college (Rochester Institute of Technology). If/when I finish, I'll be glad to sell them at cost. Reply if you're interested so I know if it's even worth doing. Thanks.

you DO know that a full scale vigo print would be over ten feet tall, right? that MIGHT be a little expensive to print. i've had several original photographic prints of the painting over the years that came from ILM. i've even kicked around the idea of producing a few 24x36 posters, possibly on canvas print. at this point, i have way too much on my plate…

i would be interested but d osborne is right they are over 10 feet tall how much is it going to be if you make them like that?

i think if you were going to make a vigo replica…it shpuld be about a 6 or 5 foot poster…not 10 feet, but still big enough that it will KINDA look like a repilca…i am totally up for buying one if you were to sell them..i wud like to know a price range if you dont mind…and what would be cool if you put a little GB II logo at the bottom left or right corner….yeeeaaa thatd kick ass haha

24 square feet is a lot, even at cost. Then there's shipping it in a tube. It'd be cooler'n heck, but it could be pricey.

Think the large scale printer here costs $3-$4 per foot long. So a 6 foot tall print would be about 20 bucks? Somewhere around there I think.

so how much we talkin here for a 6 foot print or a nice 10 foot print and could it be made on vinyl(more expensive) like actual posters used in theatre
