Everybody knows that Ecto-1 was restored, but has there been any news on Ecto-1A possibly being restored?
They should for the Ghostbusters II Blu Ray.

If I remember correctly both the Ecto 1 / 1A were fully restored..or at least have plans to be restored…
Well if that's true, then, like I said, they should make a vignette on it in the GB2 Blu Ray.

Sony? Adding actual supplemental content of any kind to a GB2 release?

That had been the plan, but the restoration costing more that originally anticipated led to a delay with the Ecto-1A. Ectofreak is convinced we'll eventually see the second car's restoration be completed… but the opportunities for it to be revealed as some sort of promotion are quickly dwindling.

In the Blu Ray featurette, you can clearly see the Satellite dish off the 1A on a table with a bunch of other parts… That leads me to believe that they are restoring it as well. What I don't understand, however, is if they did restore it, why didn't they bring it out for all the GB Video Game/Blu Ray promo stops too? Seems like if they spent all that money on it, they'd want to use it for some advertisement… I don't think Gb2 is that memorable of a movie for them to bring it out JUST for a Gb2 Blu Ray and do promo tours with it… I still doubt whether a Gb2 Blu Ray will get made/have special features…

Who knows… maybe it will tour with the release of the GB2 Bluray and Ghostbusters The Video Game 2, lol.

She is getting restored but since all the leaks surrounding Ecto-1 Sony is keeping her locked away till there done restoring her. We should see her real soon

I just saw an archived news article on Proton Charging from the end of April… They say that with the summer movie filming season gearing up, they have been concentrating on getting the “active movie car” work done and putting the “restoring a 20 year old movie icon for promotional tours” jobs on hold… That makes sense to me.
