i'm not sure about how much better it is, but the only reason i would get it is for wave race and luigi's mansion. thats the closest thing to ghostbusters out right now.

Speaking of that, isn't the concept for Luigi's Mansion a little bit of a GB rip off? Why couldn't they make Ghostbusters for Game Cube?

What in gods name do you mean “How much better can it be than Nintendo 64?”

Are you a damned fool!? Do you not follow video gaming whatsoever? Are you a mindless Playstation Drone?

Of course it's going to be better than the Nintendo 64. It will be well worth the money.

Oh and Luigi's Mansion isn't the only reason to get Gamecube, There are many other video games coming out soon that will give you more than enough reason.

Oh Video Game God Dan Elektro where art thou when we need thee.

Don't worry all, Movie Guy has just been living under a rock.

How much better than the N64 will it be?

Let's look at it this way:

N64 launch: 2 games
GCN launch: 15 games

N64 total games over last five years: roughly 300-400
GCN total games in the next year: roughly 200

I dont know. Im kinda eyeing the X-box. im not that big a gamer, because i suck so bad at video games. I cant get past the first level of Die Hard without using my trusty GameShark.

Thats pretty low if you need a GS for every level.

Either way, you'll get your money's worth. But, USA Today had many people come in and play GCN, and Xbox, and most of the time was spent on the GCN. One man said that he originally wanted Xbox, but now is in the market to buy both. I pick the GameCube because it's got the time enduring characters, quality games, and the most creative gaming minds in the world. (Including the creator of Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2, who is now hard at work on a game for the Cube.) Nintendo has a proven track record for quality, whereas Microsoft is just beginning. When looking at the technical specs for both consoles, it is easy to fall into the numbers trap, but when you actually study what the RAM is, and how it works for the system, and the other parts, the GameCube actually edges ahead of the Xbox in Processing power, despite the 250MHz difference. There are reports of Xbox slowing down for no apparent reason during gameplay (USA Today report, 11/13/01) and that the texture mapping on the GameCube is actually better.

The choice is yours.
Take the Xbox, and you stay in Wonderland and believe whatever you want to believe.

Take the GameCube, and you'll see just how deep the rabbit hole goes.

This system is going to rock the market. For only $200, it's definately worth it. Nintendo has yet to fail in making a good quality system, so I have full confidence in them.
