What version of the game do you guys have pre ordered? 360 or PS3? Is it possible it's only being delayed for one or two or several systems? More info, guys.

Any of them have a PS3? I want to know if the PS3 version has been delayed as well.

Here's what the dude at my GameStop said:

The pushing back from October is indeed partially due to the split, but also because Activision wanted to make sure that the game generated sales (which sounded stupid to me, since it's obvious that it would). He also dropped that EA was awfully close to clinching the deal to pick the game up, which means we will either see the game this year or we won't. One thing's for certain that it probably definitely be in the October/November slot that it was originally solicited, but this is the reason why everyone who's worked with GameStop have been getting the message.

Primarily also, it's suggested that anybody who's got their reserves should keep it for the most part, since there was a high likelihood of its second life at EA.

I'd imagine that this would apply to all the systems, and not just the ones that everyone pre-ordered for.

I know this story has begun to make the rounds:

http://kotaku.com/5043673/ghostbusters-pulled-from-gamestop

I've also made clear my intent to boycott Activision for this. I'm definitely not changing my mind after this.

Between the shoddy treatment of Ghostbusters, and the total lack of disregard for the classic Sierra titles (as well as driving that final FINAL nail in their coffin). I am totally boycotting Activision. They can make scads of money without me, thanks.

In conclusion: Urrgh!

Guy I am jumping on the boycott as well.
Doubt it does anything but I sent them a message.

it reads
“I have been a customer of your company since the days of NES, and due to your POOR decision regarding the game ”ghostbusters" and other properties I will never purchase or play any of your or affiliates products again. I plan on selling the products I currently own.

Even if you decided to hand it over to another publisher, it is already affecting people, stores like EB games, Game stop, etc have already removed it from there systems, because they got information the game was cancelled. My friends and people I know (people from a website http://forums.ghostbusters.net/)
had this product reserved and had to get a refund, wait, or put it on another game due to stores taking it off there system. I Will never buy any of your or affiliates products, I know you merged with blizzard and I canceled my World of warcraft account which i have played for over 2 1/2 years and my close friends also are doing the same.
Excuse me for saying the decision regarding the game has to be the most foolish thing a company has ever done."

I know it sounds corny and wont do much if anything, but i had to say something.

Sigh (*egon)

You know, if they'd simply put off the merger to a few months after the game release, or even next year they could've spared people a lot of grief and ill will.

It's irritating that it was effectively their greed that sent things to hell in a handbasket and a sure thing into limbo until a new publisher can pick it up.

Can't we catch one break?

How come all the good games get pushed back, yet all the crappy games get published?
