i don't really understand the pre-order worry, this isn't Halo 3 - you'll totally be able to buy it in the shops on the day. I'm all ready for an early morning in HMV, then a nice day off work. It's been long enough, i figure i've earned that!

I am not worried about it. In fact, I pre-ordered so I don't have to worry about it.

I dunno, I just love the element of risk, of going into shops and picking stuff up without knowing for sure it'll be there. It's the record collector in me, I reckon!

Yeah, actually, reading that back my position is idiotic! why do I do that to myself?

What a div.

I've never had a problem getting a game, movie, etc. on the day of its release, so I really felt no reason to pre-order, but since I'm going to get it for 2 different systems, I figured why not pre-order to get the in-game costume?

I really don't understand the people that pre-order for the fact that they're worried they won't get it on the day of its release if they don't pre-order, but yea… to each his own.

For me, my problem with pre-ordering is less a worry about if there is going to be “enough of the game to go around” so to speak but more of a disagreement I with the internal mechanics and of a specific game store franchises that I disagree with.

The only reason I even pre-ordered this one is well…I am lazy and didn't want to drive out to get it.

speaking of preorders…

Amazon has the Wii version for only $39.99, thats $10 less than Gamestop.

Like I said, I pre-order on the internet because I don't have the time to go out and get the game. Yeah I could skip work, but then the job itself is how I pay for the game and my XBL. So I can't really complain.

I will get it eventually and I can wait a few more days. If I can wait 9 months, I can wait a few days. This game is going to be awesome, but in truth and I mean no offense to anyone. Eating and having a place to stay is more important than this game.

Im getting mine from futureshop the day it comes out. If its rue that you can just get those uniforms after beating the game, i am not gonna waste my time going 2 hours just to pre-order the game when i can simply walk 5 blocks and get it lol.

Your case is obviously not what I was referring to. I'm referring to the people who pre-order it and then go pick it up the day of the game's release at a store that has plenty in stock when there are no pre-order bonuses. Obviously the uniform makes the pre-order worth it to some people, but I was referring to when people pre-order a game just to go have a copy to pick up. In most cases, stores have copies in anyway.

Although it begs the question, what hours of the day do you work that you can't stop at a store at all, especially with Wal-Mart and places like that being open 24 hours a day?

And you're not offending anyone with your last comment, especially because it doesn't make any sense. “Eating and having a place to stay is more important than this game.” But you pre-ordered it… so you're paying the same amount for it as everyone else… so its not like you're saying you can't afford to pick up the game because its too expensive and that you have more important priorities… There's nothing in that sentence to offend anyone.

It's been stated that they don't want to learn his name because of “what happened to the last guy.” They just refer to him as rookie (which is what his nametag says), cadet, etc.

Heh. Late in reading this, but I like the explanation.
