None taken. I was only looking at the stair case anyway and they look similar fashion, but looking at both buildings side by side, there are similarities in architecture, but two different dimensions and plans.
As we know from the first film, some of the New York architecture plays on the paranormal aspect. It would have been interesting if it was the same building and also played some what of a significance.
Looking at the trailers and such and the way Egon says “the ghost are breaking through multiple dimensional portals” (paraphrasing of course) I'd say a lot of the New York architecture serves as a type of portal or antenna for the paranormal in New York.
As I said a while ago, it would have been cool if the Twin towers were in there and were a kind of “Tuning fork” to gather the spirits. Imagine how cool would it be if the GB would control the ghost by using this method, but that would be too easy.
