Ok, someone help me please. I went out and bought the Doom Collectors Edition just so I could have Doom 2 to play this game. Now here comes the funny part
I have NO IDEA how to unzip and create a file in my Doom Directory. Can someone
please tell me how to do this step-by-step. Anyone? Maybe I should have paid attention in computer class..Oh well any help would be appreciated. Please email me with the step-by-step process at CaptBridges@aol.com

its simple! if you read & follow the instructions, it also helps to read past posts. where it says:“download GB doom here” on the GBdoom page on Ghostbusters.net download all of the requirements being:
dehacked
gbdoom
wintex45
zdoom
all of the above are zip files and forget “boom”(located on doomworld). “zdoom” is a replacement for that. when unzipping doom2, use “winzip classic”. that way you can drag all of the doom2 files into a separate folder so you can add the gbdoom files, dehacked files, wintex files & the zdoom files with ease. once all zip files are unzipped into the separate folder containing everything you should be good to go, if not you may have to edit a file in there, its easy. just read the instructions posted on the download page for dehacked, wintex45, gbdoom & zdoom. there it will show you what file to edit. once this file is edited (if needed) just click on the filename: Z-GBD2 (the file that you may have to edit) in the folder containing everything. theres your game! hope that i (it wasnt just me, it was every other person on the GBdoom message board that replied to my posts and got me going as well) helped. but take note, some levels are not finished! there is a cheat page for gb doom but heres the cooler cheats below:
for godmode: gozer
for all weapons & items: egon
for goggles: goggles
to warp a level (which ive done countless times!): warpme(then enter level number like 01, 22, 23 … warpme07 like that.)
thats all i know and have fun, and take note that it isnt quite finished yet, but very very close, a great game!

I have downloaded all the files needed to run the game but no luck. I keep hearing from everyone about placing everything in the Doom 2 directory. My problem is I can't find the Doom 2 directory on my system. Maybe I am jus looking in the wrong place but if someone can help me get this game up and running, I would appreciate it.

I found my Doom 2 directory here…
C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\INSTALL1

Will this TC work with the Doom Collectors Edition. It has Ultimate Doom, Doom 2, and Final Doom. Somebody HELP!!!
