someone was using Danny's name as a scam
Okay…
Scam: To defraud a person or persons of money.
Hardcover: Seriously delayed book.
You've been using the word scam off and on for the past month without have a firm basis for it. What is your basis? The Transformers book? Sure, there were dissappointed fans and refunds… and weirdness relating to that. But that wasn't this book. Despite delays, the comic series was published and somehow, I doubt a scam artist would go to such a specatular level of craftiness just to rip people off on a book, when he could have simply advertised the book and then scarpered. You contact Dan's Agent and then you're only dragging another party into an issue that you should be taking up with Sebastien yourself.
Fine, I'll admit it. Sebastien's made cruddy decisions. He's missed orders, had delays and had people waiting months on. But so what? I got my comics and people got theirs. I'm glad the guy tried to do something for the stagnating franchise. I sure don't see you doing much but complaining.
Give Sebastien the email you gave him, and I'm sure he'll refund you.
However, don't act like you're some hero. You've pushed many people's tolerance when they were just trying to be constructive and the voice of reason.
My parting shot: 88 Mile Per Hour Studios is an Independant Company. They don't have huge, incredible sums of money to get things done instantly, or with a huge staff. They don't have a huge budget for advertising, they depend on word of mouth. This also means, they have to play second fiddle to the people who have the huge budgets. They get bumped down on the publishing schedules for the bigger clients and inevitably suffer from delays.
But, Indy companies are those that you'll get the most original content from, remember that five years from now when there's no Ghostbusters comic to fill the void.
