Well, the 88MPH logo on the website has a Santa hat on it….

(Hey, don't look at me like that, it is an update.)

Well yeah, nearly 12th night… take down the Christmas decorations or suffer badluck.

Alright…….I'm as vocal of an 88mph supporter as anyone, but damn.

This is just silly.

I've been telling people not to relax, while of course worried about receiving the product myself. Well, no more support from this guy. This is terrible for 88mph, for the consumer, and for the fanbase itself. Wanna know how to kill a product and damage the license? Just follow how this all panned out.

Don't cry “oh, it's just how the business works.” We don't even get updates, something we've been promised continuously. I don't friggin' CARE if there's nothing to report…..if that's the case, we need to hear that there's nothing new to report.

If it makes any difference, I can't support this anymore. It's just gone on long enough.

I don't like not having any word posted online either… but if the book really is in the hands of the printer then it's at the printer's discretion when it's printed off and bound (The Editor/Owner be damned)… and it seems reasonable to assume that 88MPH would be a low priority printing these days…

Like I mentioned at Weaver, it's not the book's delay that bothers me….it's the lack of communication with all of those who sneezed cash their way.

Not slight lack, but complete lack. I mean, you have to really TRY to avoid it to do this well.

What I want is something like, “guys, talked to the printer, and it'll be XX weeks.” There's certainly no reason that we can't have this kind of communication. He can even stress that it's the printer's discretion, so it washes him of any potential guilt if another delay occurs.

S'all I want….a little reciprocal devotion. I stood on my head singing the company's praises, and we get nothing in return.

Tired of that.

Here here gjustis. You know, I been sorta thinking this way for a while now. I mean it's not hard to update a website, I handle a couple. And it's not like he's busy with (losing?) other great franchises. Is it in pre-press stage, printing stage, or binding & finishing stage? Or *gasp* shipping stage? C'mon, I mean I'm patient and everything. But yeah, it's the lack of comm that's annoyed me the most.

I'd say that's the real problem 88MPH has caused. It's given the GB license in the comics world a bad reputation. I doubt any other comics company would want anything to do with the GB license after this. Sure, we all know that it was a problem caused by 88MPH and that a different and more responsible company would not have the same types of delays. But other more casual fans might not pay much attention to that little 88MPH logo and just assume that it's the same old company running the license with the same old delay problems. I'm glad Sebastien was dedicated enough of a fan to make the comic series, I am really am. The first few issues were great. But he really should've taken a little more time to plan things out better in the beginning. These delays can mean no good for the GB license.

Why would it discourage? If anything a ‘rival’ company would be willing to ‘take the licence’ off of him and ‘show how it’s really done'.

Sigh…

Still… if there was still going to be a monthly series, and if you knew the past history… can you say you wouldn't be tempted?
