And still Ecto-1 takes great offense at anyone who dares to question his best Internet friend and companion Sebestian. He talked to him on the Internet you know!

I for one am very very sorry the Ghostbusters name has been tarnished with it's association with this “company”. The comics were good…in 2003/2004. But here it is, end of January ‘06 and still nothing. Not only does this hurt the Ghostbusters franchise; but it also hurts honest small publishers who don’t steal and lie to their customers. I for one will be distrustful of other new publishers in the future.

From the original release of the individual comics, to the supposed hardcover. Unexplained delays, broken promises, out and out lies. And like an woman going back to her abusive husband, we kept going back for another punch in the face. And we can't claim to have fallen down the stairs either. The writing was on the wall, and most of us just didn't accept the truth. We were being hustled.

Like a sailor coming into a strange port, we've been screwed. Clavet's laughed all the way to the bank on our dime. I hope people like Kingpin and Ecto-1 realize you've been just as fooled by Clavet as the rest of us. Maybe then the healing can begin. Until then we can only imagine how things would have turned out if the project was handled by a real company.

Foolish decisions and bad planning, but he believed he'd get it out on the dates he said so they aren't lies. Other comic companies have missed many dates in getting products out, Devil's Due, Dynamite Entertainment… look at Kevin Smith's The Evil Men Do story, it was years off and yet, still got published, every publishing house under the sun has delays and has to push things back. It is not just 88MPH that is missing deadlines.

We give him his due because he delivered us a comic series. In Full. It might have been delayed but we at least have expectation he will get the final product out eventually.

The 88MPH website is still operating, Clavet's forum is still running and at the moment, there's nothing to suggest he's done a runner. Grow up. Stop acting like a little child who's not being given any candy and approach it realistically.

I dislike posting on message boards on the Internet. I post here because this is the only area of Ghostbusters fandom right now that concerns me. I post here to keep in contact with other fans who have been burned by Clavet, for possible future recourse.

Yes I am. Ghostbusters is a dead franchise, and Sony is a huge company. I can understand why they might not see a fiscial viability with the Ghostbusters property. But yes, having stolen his customers money for nearly a year now with no prospect of a product being released is more damaging to the property than just sitting on it as Sony has been. Stealing from your customers damages your reputation, and hurts the franchise as a whole. Maybe you'll over come your personal admiration for Clavet one day to realize this.

This has been said by YOU several times before, as mere speculation. And again this a cop out. 88 was a small one man outfit, it wasn't a real publishing company like Marvel, DC, SLG, Antartic Press, Devil's Due…even the late Dreamwave comics (which went bankrupt) were more of a company than 88 was. There was never any more employees than Clavet, everyone else was hired as an outside contractor for one project.

Yes they are. “I'm going to post news updates every week.” Then it doesn't happen. Well..well intended or not..that makes it a lie. Period. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Clavet was allegedly a fulltime publisher who's job was to make and release comics. Trying to compare Clavet to Smith is like trying to compare Stephen King to an Internet fanfiction author.

You give him justification because you've spoken to him and consider him your friend rather than a customer of his. You're putting faith in someone who you've talked to on the Internet. His history and reputation has been proven time and time again, yet you continue your fanboy defense.

I have approached things realistically. It is not normal nor is it common to accept orders for a product, then go months and months without any notification on the status of order. Clavet has done nothing since November. This isn't a matter of waiting patiently, this is a matter of criminal business practices. We have no information that says we're any closer to a product than we were in May of last year, and no contact from the publisher. Does he ever plan to release a product? Does he intend to give refunds if he can't? We have no clue, and as long as people like you make out like you're ok with it..we never will.

I do not hate Clavet. I am a customer of his and I critize his piss poor business practices, which are bordering on criminal at this point. I contribute what I feel like is added, I'm sorry if I don't wish to discuss random trivial things on other forums. I attack Clavet's business practices, I don't care about him personally.
