At any rate, we should consider ourselves lucky to have the full 4-part story.

At least there's no cliffhanger “I wonder what would have happened” drop point that never got resolved.

The issue's as good as it's going to get.

I'm holding out still, but at least it's comforting to know that if I ever want my money back, I have that option too.

Why can't we just settle for a paper back that still contains all of the extra stuff…case studies and what not?

Quite… the hardcover may be lost in translation, but at least most of us have the comics…

Because… well, it'd still need to be published. It's not beacause it's a hardcover which is the problem…

well I imagine the fact that it's hard cover adds to the cost significantly. I could be wrong….

Maybe, but he'd still would have had to work up the funding for the print run… and it might've still run late as a softcover…

Thats the one I was refering to. I'm desperate to have all of the issues together plus the Zeddmore Factor, but I dont know, I really wanted the case studies and forward by Aykroyd…we may not ever even see that.

Sinister, this isn't a jab at you, so don't take it as such, but you are endlessly optimistic about this hardcover.

Are you buddies with Sebastien, or do you just know something we don't?

I've heard some things from some pretty reliable sources about this situation, and from every indication, this whole affair has gone sour. More than just the fans allocated financial support towards this book, and it sounds like the money wasn't managed with the publication of this book as 88MPH's first priority. I'm pretty sure that's why we started getting wind of that lithograph fund raiser tactic before Sebastien decided to retreat into hiding. A move which has pretty much pushed me away from considering investing in any of his future projects.

I'm sorry, but not delivering a promise for over a year and a half is going to get some negative feedback. I'm still holding out for the book (at this point I would settle for a softcover), but this whole situation is pretty lame.

Again, we should consider ourselves lucky that we got to at least read the entire story to its conclusion. At this point, I'm thinking that's all we're going to get.

Maybe some other publisher should do the Ghostbusters comic. Same artist, inker and writer, different company. If it hadn't been for Slave Labor Graphics, TRON would have never seen the light of day.

The guy obviously isn't good at managing money. And the fans have to “pay” for that in a completely unfair way. Dead horse? Indeed. But is it an unjustified assessment?

I doubt Ghostbusters books will stop being published by someone in the future. But it definitely needs stronger leadership. With the right amount of funding and resources, any of us could publish a comic.

If and only IF we're NOT getting the HC here in the states then the case studies and forward by Aykroyd should be made publically available on 88mph Studios Website. But only when they come out and say we're not getting it…
