:-O Ghostbusters 1 @ 2 were recently rereleased on dvd, they come packaged in a set in a cool green slime colored sleeve. I bought it and it rocks. Why would they reelease the movies? Does anyone think the movie companies are trying to see if people will buy it so they can make Ghostbusters 3? I think so.

Yeah but they already released them in ‘99 and I doubt they are going to be marketing out another “feeler” campaign several years later. (i.e. when will the next one be?)
Plus if you search through the GB3 forums you’ll see all the hiccups and dead-ends that has happened to this movie from it's early stages.

They also recently released “Stripes” to DVD too, and I doubt that it means they're doing a sequel for that

They released them (Admittedly, extremely late) for the 20th Anniversary which was June '04.

It would be nice to see a third movie and 1+2=3, but it think that Sony just wants $$$…. (;_
