GB2

I know a lot of people are talking about what the comic will do with Ghostbusters 2, well maybe they will do what the RGB comic did, make a mini series for the second movie, that would be cool. (*peter)

Ghostbusters II will never be done with this comic, it is too constricting because it only really allowed a ‘bust time’ of five years…and I think Sebastien doesn't want to make that kind of a commitment, it would be cool, yes, but GBII was a far less then perfect sequel (Egon and Janine broken up, Janine with Louis, the guys having been out of work and the city forgetting that ghosts existed).

I severely doubt we'll ever see an adaption of Ghostbusters II being published by 88MPH.

As keen as it would be, there's also the issue of the brand - Sony would likely require that the story be marked with the GB2 logo, and it's not clear if that brand is included in whatever licensing deal Sebastien made.

In any case, we've got the NOW comics version, which I always thought was pretty ginchy.

Seb i dont think is a big fan of GB2, you do however have refences to Gb2 and RGB. The CU looks like the RGB CU and at then end of the issue E1 drives by Dana job in Gb2. Castlewar is right thou, Seb has the licence to Gb1, logo and characters. So just be happy what we go and who knows maybe somebody else will make a Gb comic.

Chuck, when did they drive by the Museum?

Besides, I think the building is just the U.S. Customs House in Legion, there's been no actual reference to it as the Manhattan Museum of Art.

Not even 5 years. From comments made by Venkman in GB2, I believe it can be gathered that the ghosts stopped showing up after Gozer and then the GBs were pretty much sued by a lot of people for some reason or another. So I think it's a good thing that GB2 was disregarded.

As long as they don't call it the Met ala “The Return”.

Ehhh, that idea unfortunately makes me alot less interested in this comic series. I was really hoping to see how they would handle that. Oh well, I suppose…

I don't know, unless done right, or given the freedom to change things around, an adaption of Ghostbusters II might have ended up as flawed as the film, at least this way they can create their own future events without having to do things like eventually closing the company, having Ray and Winston do birthday parties and having to have to introduce the Stiff and his fling with Dana.

An adaption of the first film would be cool, but I'll be realistic in knowing it probably wouldn't cme into existance.

Ghostbusters II is hardly flawed. Other than being a rehash of the first film, which is what tickles everyones nerves, it's actually alot funnier than the first as far as the jokes go, in my opinion anyway. I think simply because “Sebastian doesn't like it” is no real reason to shun it all together. It's near and dear to a great many of us, and it's really nowhere near as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It'd, I think anyway, actually fit in nice with an ongoing comic series. Some people's problems with it are that it wasn't I guess monumental enough of an idea, where as Gozer threatened the whole world and Vigo didn't really measure up to that or whatever, so it could just fit in as just another story. I dunno, I love Ghostbusters II, probably more than the first, and I'd be really disappointed to see it shunned, to the point of really losing interest in the series, like I said…
