GB2 DVD :(

I was disappointed with the GB2 DVD that I bought over the weekend. I found it at Tower Records for $9.99 marked down from 19.99. It's nothing like the GB Collector's Edition DVD which was great. This GB2 DVD doesn't even have the deleted scenes I heard about from imdb.com. And the trailers are just the same ones from the first GB. Here are some of the deleted scenes: Two attempts by Louis to capture Slimer. The first involved several Kentucky Fried Chicken legs strung up to the fire house ceiling. Slimer comes out and grabs a leg, and Louis pushes the button for the trap. The light comes out, but Slimer floats out of the way and the ceiling collapses, falling on Louis' desk. The second attempt involves Louis carrying a proton pack and faking a pizza delivery (Oh, hello, Pizza Man! Oh, two larges! I only ordered one. Oh, pepperoni and pineapple. My absolute favorite. I guess I'll have to eat these both by myself.) Slimer floats down from the ceiling, and Louis tries to shoot him with the proton pack. Slimer flies away, and the beam flies towards Janine carrying a stack of files, who casually steps aside of the beam.

I was disapointed too. When will they learn that it'll sell better if they made it better.

I dont see what you guys are complaining about. Since when do special features make the movie?? Sure it would have been nice, but they arent a neccessity. You have one of the best films ever in original widescreen presentation, with as good a picture as you have ever seen outside a movie theatre and with fantastic sound. Plus you can watch it a thousand times without it ever decreasing in quality. Why the heck would anyone be disapointed with it? Would you prefer to go back to VHS with a chopped pan and scan picture, a much worse picture and one that will only get worse with each viewing, and lets not mention the sound quality.

I wish some more features were on the dvd. It was auch a good movie I do not know why there were not more features.

i just have the first GB on DVD, i wanted to buy the second part today, but it was completely sold… so i look around next week!

I think there should be more “behind the scenes” or “making of”

I am very interested in how they built the proton packs, the containment unit etc… and i would like to have Blue-prints or something… or drawings from the proton packs, the trap and the whole technical equipement… that would be pretty cooooool!

You never know what the future brings us, maybe in the form of a ghostbusters 3 or maybe they will make later an ghostbusters special edition…it happened before with movies like die hard.

Regards, Robert ( ghostbusters Holland )
