GB2 flightsuit differences.

I was watching GB2 today and I noticed that when they're wearing the charcoal flightsuits, they don't have a hose on the leg (at least I didn't notice one), but the khaki ones do. I just thought that was a bit strange.

Yeah. I noticed that too.

That is correct, they only wore the hoses on that flightsuit a few times in the movie(even then it was hardly noticable) and not to mention they used a clear hose instead of a yellow hose.

That's something that I've always wondered about and based on when we see them wear them, I can only guess that the navy blue uniforms were for “lighter busts”; we only see them used in the montage, and they are only doing light work, nothing like busting Gozer or Vigo. So now the next logical question is what the hoses are used for. My guess would be that they inject some sort of “ecto cleanser” in case of something horrible happening. Of course this is only a guess that has nothing to back it up except for the fact that we never see it used and there doesn't appear to be any wires inside it for it to be an electrical connection. In reality the costume designers may not have had a logical reason for them, but just wanted to add another accessory to the outfit.

The ecto-cleanser is a cool idea. Do I smell a fanfic?

Haha, maybe this weekend I'll write a short fanfic explaining it, haha, now you've got the gears in my head turning. . .

Sounds interesting, I always thought it could act as an “air conditioner” for the suit until I got a close up view, so I dropped that Idea. My next idea was that it was a computer for the pack, something to keep it from overloading maybe? Interesting what it could be wink

Actually, if you really want to know what that tube is for…it's a urination tube that military pilots in the 1950's wore on long flights. One end attached to their… and the other connects to a small vacuum/recycling unit somewhere in the cockpit. Ever wonder why the tubes had a yellowish tint to them in the first movie?

…just keepin' it real boys!

That was just wrong, now we know Ray wont lay off the beer and Egon wont let go of the diet soda but COME ON! The GB with urination tubes while on the job,

That's what I thought! but I guess the costumer for the film had a real sick sense of humor.
