This is old news, but here it is: In issue 608, they gave several films a review on how the Statue of Liberty is depicted. The flims were Planet of the Apes (4 torches out of 4), Spaceballs (1 torch), GB2 (4 torches!), Independence Day (3 torches), Deep Impact (3 torches), and AI (2 torches). They interviewed the librarian for the statue about all of Libby's appearances. Here's her summary on GB2: “Lady Liberty comes to life after a run-in with some pesky plasma and strolls through Manhattan: ”She comes across as very humane. A living, walking goddess.". They had the story on it a little off. Pesky plasma? No, the Ghostbusters did it. I think the writer assumed it was Vigo's doings. Oh well. Either way, I find it astounding that there are as many torches for GB2 as the legendary scene in Apes. Personally, I think they should have had the awesome scene in X-Men reviewed instead of the Spaceballs review. That is the best part of the movie!
