BTW, does anyone know how to ID the Atlantic city pack?

I just remembered about the ASAP GB props forum where its mentioned that one of those morning shows had an article about a GB that featured Ernie Hudson and Bill Murray. They were seperated in the article, but people said that Hudson tried to start the Ecto-1 and that he had a proton pack on. Could that pack have been used for this article? It supposedly aired around May 23 this year. Murray showed off the spook central building in NYC. Since Jersey, NYC, Atlantic City are nearby, could this be a logical answer. But still why was this article made? GB nostalgia or is GB3 creeping around?

I find it wierd that hype is being up roared once more about GB3, the amount of sightings that have been reported are great! I still try to restrain from getting hopes up but could somethign be creeping up on us that we will soon find out about?

Puttwill, how are you going to find out where the pack is going? I was not allowed to be told anything. Seems like they are hiding something, unless they really did send it to be cleaned professionally and are not allowed to give out any info about it. Just keep your eyes open all, I will post if I can find anything else out.

I don't know.. I'm trying not to get my hopes up.. but I just can't help it. Whether it's the total disposal of the Ghostbuster's franchise.. or it's the making of GB3.. you've got to admit SOMETHING weird is going on..

GB3 could actually be right, but they filmed the segment that aired on the Today show in CA where there were plenty of packs in the Sony storage.

Hey Ectoman, do you know if it would be possible to get a copy of that episode of the today show? I heard a little bit about it, but never got to see it.

Gave it my best attempt to try to reach someone in the corporate offices of PH and no one was available.

The only reason I think there is even a remote possibility of a GB3 out of all this is because I know they may want the old packs to construct new ones and didn't Aykroyd have one of his old ones from GB1 on in the court scene of GB2?
Just a thought, just keep an open mind!

I cant remeber where exactly now the proton pack at Universal studios was I know it was in One of the Stores where you could buy 80's movie merchandise like ghostbusters BTTF and ET ect the proton pack was behind glass and had a sign under it saying used in the production of the original ghostbusters movie. look around and ask an employee your bound to find it!

here is what i was told “Hey bill, they have a proton pack on display in the star movie theater down the street!” now i had been to this thearter last year and it wasn't there then. so i thought, maybe it's the missing PH pack on lone. ):

Here is what a found, and proton gun with the tubeing running behind a non movie jump suit. at least i think it's non movie, it doesn't look right. so it's JUST the gun d: there was a guy standing right there and he wouldn't let me take pics d: it's in pretty bad shape, but i'm faily certain it's a movie used prop. the front clear plastic tube is missing, the vent it bent to all hell, the green tube is dissconnected(which might be a good thing as i can get a pic some other time of it), the hook and several knobs are missing. but it was still very exciting to see!!! (:
