GB2 Uniform

Those cool looking darker color suits the Ghostbusters wear in the second movie are only used in like 2 or 3 short scenes(if that). Maybe it's just me but i thought those suits where pretty snazzy. Why do you guys think those suits got the shaft and they reverted back to the originals so quickly?

At least i'll get to wear one in the video game if I preorder at gamestop.

In case you some of you guys don't know the suits i'm refering to…..

I found the black flightsuit at amazon.com…it is a true flightsuit with all the pockets and details of the GB1. Hope this helps.(*peter)

That doesn't really have anything to do with what he was asking.

I imagine the production returned to the tan suits is because those were the originals, the classics… and whilst sometimes you can deviate from the classics… sooner or later you'll likely return to them.

It's kinda like how at this Cinema I used to work at, the people on Concessions would wear special T-shirts for a film release, but once that marketing period was over, they'd return to their regular uniforms.

to me, i liked the darker colored uniforms, as far as why in the movie they went back to the tan ones, it's probably because they were rotating out between uniforms and maybe the dark ones were out being de-contaminated from a previous bust, or since the events at the end of the movie follow hteir release from the mental ward maybe they only had time to grab the tan ones?

I always presumed the distinction was that dark colored suits were thermally insulated as compared to the lighter, beige ones. The movie did take place in December, after all.

But it was more likely a purely aesthetic choice.

I guess I was always just wondering why put out all the marketing(movie posters, magazine covers) with the guys in the dark suits and then practically never use them? its always kinda bugged me.

I would have loved to have seen the guys wear them at least in the museum sweep scene. I can understand not wearing them at the Vigo showdown since it was so dark.
