I remember this script. I can't remember who wrote it, but it was written after mine had gone through a couple drafts. 1998 is a good estimate, since I started mine in June of that year and was “done” (so I thought) in October.
The guy who wrote it was Greg something. I don't remember his last name. But it was a terrible script, and I was always glad he never bothered with a GB4.
I doubt I still have that script, if I ever saved it at all. It was awful.

It was very uncreative, and I think it reused some old jokes from RGB. He might as well have called it Waterworld II, instead of Ghostbusters III.

thanks for the fake script review! the rumors that went around were that the script was to long, and had to be divided up into 2 films.

Actually, the script with the hell hockey game and busting Babe Ruth was on a site called the Ghostbusters Vortex that closed down a while ago. And if I'm not mistaken, I actually printed a copy of said script. So, if anyone's intrested, I'll transcribe it onto my computer so you can read it, with full credits to the original author.

Another sad thing about that script, was that I thought it was real. I actually printed a copy to show to my Mom, and some friends, who love, and remember GB. They've probably forgotten most of that script, and only remember “some crummy GB III script”.
Although I do remember my Mom talking one day about how several years ago, Matthew, (Me, duh!) told her that there was going to be a GB IV, but she never saw a GB III movie. Weird…
