I'm lashing out at the extremely gullible and the extremely manipulative, people are just copying and editing the old articles to support this silly rumour.
Some of them may even be fans, and want to keep it in the spotlight to show there is always interest in another chapter of Ghostbusters.

If that is the case than it makes it worse because they should know better… (*winston)

It's getting to the point where even I am losing hope… not because I dont think it'll be made.. but because I'm not sure if I even want it made.

It would take a HELL of a script (no pun intended) to actually present something worthy of a todays audience. Ghostbusters 2 just rode of the success of GB1 and RGB, GB3 couldn't do that. It would have to be accessible to new people and fantastic in its own right. For some reason, I don't think that stupid (yes stupid, I really don't like the angle) script that Ramis brainstormed would cut it. Greanted Terminator 3 did show that its not impossible for a come back…. but how good was T3? Really?

Maybe it IS a remake that's needed to spur everything off. I mean, everything is getting it. Pink Panther, Planet of the Apes, The Omen, The Amityville Horror, The Italian Job…

So many different kinds of films, that aren't altogether old are being remade. And would thta be such a bad thing? Really? We wouldnt lose the old films, and we'd get a brand new film, with an all new cast, that would probabley be reimagined in the way that most remakes are. It could be a wonderful block buster suited to today, much in the vein that Legion was. That's something I wouldnt mind seeing at all. Hell, maybe they could even gte Tim Burton on board to help….

Damn, I'd love to see Tim Burtons take on it. It's something I've thought about before.

Look at the dates on this link and the entire story on the below link:
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/news/comments/?entryid=324870

Now look at the story and date on this link:
http://contactmusic.com/new/xmlfeed.nsf/mndwebpages/ramis%20plans%20ghostbusters%203%20with%20ben%20stiller

Just thought I'd throw these in here whether it means anything or not. I had just stumbled upon these and realized they were the same article but different dates put on them

They really don't mean anything guys, seriously… read the thread at the top of the forum, the stickied one, where Dan Aykroyd says he's retiring from acting and that all of these rumors aren't even real quotes from Harold Ramis, they're fake.
