i fear that GB3 might end up the same way if they ever plan to make the movie. im just imagining a review by someone on this forum titled “GB-saurus lives again” or something like that.

If part of this conclusion is based on how Harrison slipped so effortlessly back into the role then there is a bit of a difference, he was keeping himself fit in the hope of a fourth film… Dan, Harold and Bill haven't really.

I get your point, but I think that's why the plan is to kinda have them mentoring, not really be doing a lot of running around. At least thats the feeling I get.

Well maybe not like Indy 4 but maybe like that awesome recent “Rambo” movie which kicked ass.

Ghostbusters 3 is going to be made because the Imdb says so and Sony is making a third GB film. This isn't a rumor anymore GB3 is happening as a Live-action movie and that's a lot better then CGI. It says that the 4GB's will be in GB3 Training a new team to help them out and that's Wonderful! It also says that filming will began in 2009 for a 2010 release and that's Wonderful GB3 news. You can read the rest of it because itt will make you very Happy! Now GB3 is happening and it's about time!

You realize, of course, the IMDB had listed Ghostbusters III about 3 times on their website, right? Each time the rumor-mill heats up, it gets put on there, and then has been subsequently taken down.

Don't get me wrong, if done right, I would love to see another GB film. But IMDB is in no way an official source.

I can see GB3 turning into a Indy 4 type of thing. Indy 4 was greeted with reviews that at first were like "Hey! This isn't that bad! It's like the third best Indiana Jones movie!“ Until everyone saw it and the consensus became ”Okay, that kind of sucked ass… maybe it's the fourth best Indiana Jones movie.“

GB3 would feel more like a shameless money grab to me, and I say that as a hardcore Ghostbusters fan. If it can strike that delicate balance of character-based humor, cutting edge special effects and just a little bit of horror, it'll be okay.

Of course, Ghostbusters II felt like a shameless money grab, too. I remember a review locally that said ”Ghostbusters II: Lots of Spirits But No Spirit." I kind of agree. I'd rather there be no GB3 than a GB3 on par with Indy 4.
