What is with you guys and all these old rock songs? Both GB soundtracks had no vintage music on it…..

Being that Alien Ant Farm did such a great job with Smooth Criminal, I think they would put a great spin on Ray Parker's “Ghostbusters”. I think they would do it because they seem to be GB fans, as we can see from the “Movies” music video.

Grundle, when it comes to Gorillaz, I think we're thinking on the same track!

I saw several posts on this thread complaining about or supporting rap. Rap is alright, but if you have it on a GB3, Gorillaz is clearly your first choice.

Why? It's a little darker than a lot of rap out there. I'm not talking about your gangsta rap or the rough language stuff, I'm talking about the sound. A “Clint Eastwood” kind of darker sound for GB3 would be perfect.

And if not Gorillaz, then at least Del tha Funkee Homosapein, who is one of the members behind Gorillaz. His rap would be good for a GB3.

That's my input.

I agree with Gorillaz….but the “Distorted Penguins” did a great GB cover. I would throw their names into the hat. The “Distorted Penguins” cover is available through KaZaA. Look for the studio version…It's better than the Live one.

First off new rap sucks, the older early 90s late 80s was better. Second I don't like the idea of using a lot of premade songs for the soundtrack they should be mostly new songs written for the movie. Good band ideas of mine include:

Linkin Park
Creed (as much as I hate to admit it)
Stabing Westward
Pressure 4-5 (maybe)
Foo Fighters
AAF cover of “Ghostbusters”
Orgy
Adema
and of course the orginal Ray Parker Jr. “Ghostbusters”

I'll have to think of more later.

First of all, I think the score of the movie should be helmed by either Elmer Bernstein or Danny Elfman.

Secondly, some of the groups that should appear on the GB3 soundtrack are:

Alien Ant Farm

Rob Zombie

Gorillaz

Godsmack

Outkast

Ray Parker Jr.
