Has anyone considered the fact that if they DID make a GBIII that would pretty much destroy the entire fan-based world that we've all been building over the years? I'm referring to the new GB franchises and whatnot btw.

If I read your post right, in part you think a new Ghostbusters film ie: Ghostbusters 3 would destroy the Ghostbusters International® side of the fan base? If so, how? Sorry if I misread you, when I see Ghostbusters and franchises, its hard for me not to think of GBI.

The only reason I think that is because it would require us to completely alter the timeline we have all become a part of. Just because they would do their own thing and not worry about what the fans have said is going on for the last decade. I base my thoughts on what happened to the Star Wars timeline before and after Lucas released the new movies.

You know who I think would make better filler than Ben Stiller….Dennis Leary. The movie could always start with him being the ONLY new Ghostbuster, and the other three actually still bust ghosts, but with his help. That way we get at least one or two busts out of the original boys in grey. Then at some point in the film they tell Leary's character that he needs to recruit and train a new team…can you imagine his response….he'd make a fantastic Ghostbuster…better than Ben Stiller.

As unlikely as it'd be, I approve of Dennis Leary… his outragious comedy is certainly more in tune then Stiller's…

I can just imagine him dealing with the younger ‘busters’ perfectly, the chemistry would be phenominal. I almost think that if he were contacted in the event of a third film…he would do it.

Don't knock yourself, for a moment I couldn't even tell the suit wasn't from the same pic as the Proton Pack… and it just seems to cement the idea more; really… you could imagine him being a cocky and to adventurish and maybe not fully considering the problem at hand.
