I'd be creeped out too, if it didn't remind me so much of the Empress of the Racnoss.

I'm not an Arachnophobe, but I do find Spiders particularly creepy, even if I do think they're cool.

However, this entire thing is spooky enough to creep me out. Fighting the boss, I'll probably be screaming like a little girl. When the atmosphere in a game is just right, I get sucked right into the experience.

I tell you one thing, if I were going up against that thing in real life, I'd run for it. Proton Pack on my back or not. A normal Spider I can handle. A giant one with a sexy chick attached, and a freakish giant mouth? F*** that!

But I'm so, so JAZZED that the game truly is going to do it's best to be geniunly creepy. That's one thing I was worried about, I wanted a real sense of dread to penetrate the game, above the film's normal “jump” style scares. I've always loved it when Ghostbusters dabbled into the horror genre a tad (the really macabre or creepy RGB episodes), and it looks like the game is really gonna deliver that.

I haven't told anyone this here, but I am an arachnophobia…this boss creeps me out. Ew

But as Jack Black says in Brutal Legends: “AHA. See I knew it. Big ugly demon. Kinda sexy though in a weird way….huh.”

By the way, the goggles display looks awesome. I have never seen it so….good. The boss itself reminds me of the shape-shifter from one RGB called “Drool, the dog faced Moblin.” It turns into a giant cockroach to which Peter is afraid of.

Oh don't even get me started on that game and whats going on with it, but heh, judging by Scott and Kingpin's reaction, TR did their job since its going to work off some people's arachnophobia.

Oh good so I am not the only who jumps on a table screaming like a girl….wait, none of you do that? Awww. Snakes, rats, scorpians, even the oogymqn I can handle, but this? No way, this is right next to the “Little girls in red with black hair over their eyes creep me out.”

I'll run with you. “Uhh…I think I double parked the Ecto-1b. I better go move it before it is towed.”

I kind of like the way the game is whether you agree or disagree. I think that game is awesome and is going to be awesome just like GB, mostly because it is different from all the rest of the “mainstream” games.

It's the legs….thinking about spider legs just touching you creeps me out. Judging by the videos the rookie gets into close calls with the legs. She also somewhat reminds me of the spider splicers from BioShock.

The Spider Witch reminds me of the enemies from the old PC game DOOM, when she is taunting the Ghostbusters it also reminds me of the Borg Queen from Star Trek.

the closest thing Doom I and II had to this was the Spider Mastermind and Arachnotron, and they aren't anything like this.

Doom 3 however did have something like this, just more….disgusting.

and as for the borg queen, I would agree, did you know? that in early production concept art for Star Trek First Contact, the borg queen was going to appear on a spider-like set of cybernetic legs, but that never past it the concept art stage

Actually, I was talking about the same company that dropped Ghostbusters, the same stupid company blocking EA from releasing Brutal Legend, cause they saw that it was popular and they realized that they made a mistake in dropping it, so they don't want EA to release it..

You mean Activision? Yeah. I kind of take Brutal Legends and Ghostbusters like two brothers in a game war. I didn't know what you truly meant cause your comment is quite vague, but eh.

I wonder what kind of line Peter Venkman is going to say to this Spider witch creature.

“Hey girl, I do like a girl with long legs, but eight is enough.” or something like that.

That would of made the Borg Queen more scary for me as I am also scared of spiders, I guess they thought it was cheaper to make her look human, Star Trek always seems to go the cheap route.

Well the reason why they never went with it was never made clear, but at 1998 such an effect would have been difficult to pull off at the time, also it was early during the production of the film, the plot hadn't even been finalized at that point.

As awesome as that would have been to see, I think it would have been a cheap scare effect, its easy to make a fearsome thing inhuman with spider legs, I don't think it would have worked for the Borg.

Ghostbusters, Doom it works fine.

Star Trek, not so much.

thats just my opinion.
