1)You should have Doom 2 Full version, not any demo or shareware.

2)You own doom2 or downloaded it, and have it installed on your computer.

3)Then go to this URL:
http://64.0.20.220/gbdoom/zdoom122.zip and download that file

4)Now download “GBDOOM.ZIP”

5)You downloaded both zdoom.zip and gbdoom.zip and exctracted (unzipped) it into the Doom2 folder
(This should give you “zdoom.exe”)

6)You right clicked on the z-gbd2.bat file and removed D:\games\doom2 from behind zdoom.exe and clicked apply.

7)Click the Doom2 folder where evrything should be

8)Right click the file Z-gbd2.bat

9)click on Properties

10)Click on Program or Edit

11)Click the cmdline space, type this…
zdoom.exe -file zdoom.wad gbdemo.wad gbgfx.wad colmaps.wad -deh gbd2.deh

12)Now click the batch file space and type this…
zdoom.exe -file zdoom.wad gbdemo.wad gbgfx.wad colmaps.wad -deh gbd2.deh

13)Click Apply

Ok, This should fix everything….I had the same problem and I got really pi**ed when I couldn't play I tried this and now it works all you have to do is wait like 7secs.

I cant get the .bat file

That worked (sorta) for me it changed what the baddies are but it did nothing too the skinz or the levels… and ideas?

i didnt get the zdoom.exe file, even though i downloaded all the right stuff. why is this and how do i obtain it? cheers.

When ever i click on the zdoom.exe i get a message saying ‘ a required .dll file, pct.dll, not found’ if anyone can hel psolve this dilema so i can play the game please contact me.

Aright guys and gals, this is some extras that should make things easier…
Don't bother with the .wad at the end of things like gbd2.wad in the programs menu it's redundent you don't need it.
With this I hoped you unpacked your skins because now you can get them to work… name them short things like S for slimer or W for Winston that way your maps won't screw up.
Make sure all of your icons (as opposed to files) are all in your doom so cut and paste your programs out of the files and into your doom2 directory
This will eliminate missing files and all that crap.
Make sure you do that last one it will solve a lot of problems. And believe me you don't want problems… THIS IS AN AWESOME GAME!!!
