At least those who said they lost the video, can view this one instead. Even if it's only 1/3 of what was released.

What? The game was already made that far?! I thought it was only ink on papers! I guess I don't read enough on the subject :-O

You know what's missing? Ok the graphic are great! The environment is good! But the life is not there! The ghostbusters atmosphere is not there! And I don't want to run in the streets shooting at ‘human monsters“! It would be a ”ViceCity3000“, ”Doom“, ”Area51“. Something in the futur.

It’s almost there but we're not there yet. (;_

GB is all about teamwork, like firemen in front of a fire.
And when you work alone, you need to be profesionnal or it'll be a nightmare and I don't think any ”man of god" would be able to save you!

Newbie here. Longtime lurker.

Anywho I love everything about that demo vid I just saw. Everything.

I absolutely LOVE how the proton guns have verbal warning systems on them. I almost fell out of my chair when I heard the warning voice say “do not cross the proton beams”. NICE!!! I can definitely picture Dan writing that into the script of the movie.

The new, more powerful proton guns will have to be quite a bit larger in order to accomidate all these new features.

I have a feeling they are doing the game first in order to get Bill Murray's (and everyone who's involved in the GB franchise) opinion on the storyline. Once he/they see the public's reaction to the video game I think GB3 will get moved into production mode ASAP.

JMHO of course.

Keep in mind that was only the prototype, designed to sell the idea.

While I liked the premises behind both the ‘modern’ Proton Guns, and Ecto-2… there was nothing saying that should ZootFly (who I've got my money on for the moment being the team behind the game Dan and Harold have been talking about) be making the game, those elements would be in the final rendition.

It's not really known if that was meant to be a verbal warning from the guns or a quick filler for game character dialogue…

However, ‘Ghostbusters 3’ going into production is still as up in the air as (or unlikely) it always has… a new game doesn't automatically mean that the film will finally get made.

I think alot of people have got the wrong end of the stick, so to speak, regarding the Zootfly Ghostbusters game footage. The reason why the characters in the footage have different weapons to the ones in the Ghostbusters films is because should Zootfly find themselves in a position where they have not managed to obtain the Ghostbusters licence, then they don't have to change the weaponry used as the weapons are their own creation. They can make basically the same game, change a few things and call it something else, without breaking copyright laws. If for instance Zootfly had taken the time to design and program all the original ghostbusting equipment and the game mechanics to go along with it, (which incidentally is why there is no ghost trapping in the video footage) before the Ghostbusters IP was deal finalised it would be a bit too much of a gamble. Not only regarding the weaponry but the Ecto 1 as well. If Zootfly have gained the IP to Ghostbusters then they will design the weaponry and the entire games presentation so that it is accurate to the films.

Phew…I just typed all of that out using my Wii!

well the ecto1 is different but atleast its still a caddy

^It's not a caddy, it's a chrysler

And that is a mod, it's taken from Gears of War. If Zootfly makes the game, it may be 20% what you see there, everything else would change. If it happens, I want the original packs and throwers and an optional 3rd person viewpoint.
