I can’t deny that some things are just too uncanny to be coincidence. Some of the things I’ve seen in movies, without them being pointed out, are obviously Illuminati and Masonic symbols. Did anyone else notice when the Ghostbusters are about to fight Gozer, the pillars look like the pillars from King Solomon's Temple. Masonic symbolism everywhere?

You have to admit, though, the society Shandor belonged to has an almost Illuminati-ish ring to it, judging from what Egon mentioned about it.

Shandor's cult was probably a lot less prevailant and powerful than the Illuminati is claimed to be.

I've gone back to re-watch the film with the pretense of this “Illuminati” presence, I found a few other signs/symbols/blocking imagery in the film. It's pretty wild with some of the other events I noticed. I wonder if it was meant to be a “Wizard of Oz” for our generation so operation Blue Beam could be pulled on us.
