Ghost hunters

Has anyone ever seen the TV show Ghost hunters?? its on Sci Fi, in America. well the guys use this device to see for the presence of ghosts, i think its either electromagnetic field recorder or a Digital Thermometer. well i want to buy one of them and make it look like a PKE meter, while still being able to do its job and picking up changes in the electromagnetic field (thats what they use to detect a “ghost presence”

NEGATIVE

If you seriously want to get one of these and use it in any way shape or form involving the paranormal, don't touch it's internal workings at all. The moment you break it open you will be making the device and it's recordings useless.

An EMF meter is NOT a ghost detection device

whats inside that would break?? and would it change anything that im an Electrical Engineering major?? (the reason why i became one because i want to make a Proton Pack lol)

lol, I worked with this show a bit. I have that EMF meter at my desk. We used it in another show, too–though not for what it's really used for.


It's great for measuring radiation coming out of your cell phone.

EMF meter is what you used to measure Electromagnetic Frequencies. You CAN use it to detect/hunt ghosts, but you are really shooting in the dark. I posted this in the paranormal forum. You can make an EMF meter an PKE Meter, but don't crack it open like said above.

You could be the batman, and it still wouldn't change a thing.

Like I said, if you're gonna use it for anything remotely involving the paranormal, dont open it. Not because you might damage it, but if by some chance you get a wierd reading. No one is ever going to believe you, because you tampered with the device.

how about i keep it the same, not touch it and make an outer shell thats shaped like the PKE metter, but keep an opening for the screen and the meter itself..that could work

Now that is smart. Build around it. That would be cool and it would be a viable tool when you are done.
