Ghostbusters 2 Blu-ray petition

Originally, the Blu-ray release of Ghostbusters was announced as a two-pak, but quickly it was scrapped for a single movie release. Both movies were released on dvd the same year, and Sony owns both movies, so there is no excuse.

Very few internet petitions are successful. The fans were lucky with IDW taking on Dapper Dan to do the Halloween one-shot, but that's because IDW are a much more connected company with their fanbase then Sony.

I thought GB2 for blu ray was in the plans for sometime in the fall. So now that this timeframe has gone by what is going on with GB2's BR dvd then? They can't give this the shabby treatment forever. When Sony does get it out there better be extras, otherwise whats the point?

To be honest if GB3 gets the official nod from Sony and not just rumours I would of thought the GB2 Blu-Ray would be a no brainer to be released to tie in with it all.
We have no idea what goes on behind the scenes at Sony, but if they had real plans for GB3 then I would not be surprised if they delayed the release of GB2 on Blu-Ray and also give them more time to bring out a Special Edition instead of the usual Movie +Trailer as we have had in the past on DVD.

Agreed. I would love to see the deleted scenes from this movie. You can find a few online, but the quality is usually terrible.

A GB2 SE has been long overdue and I'd be the first in-line to buy it on Blu-ray. I bet if GB3 officially goes into production we'll probably get it to coincide with the release.

About 20 years ago I catched a “Behind the scenes GB2” special on TV, but I barely remember anything (like Dan Aykroyd being covered with ectoplazm for the final scene)… I would love to watch it on the BR release.
