That isn't making you look any better. Besides, no offense, but no one is really gonna care unless it's the cast giving the commentary. You might be professionals, but no matter how you look at it, it's still a fan commentary, meaning you're fans doing commentary on the film.

A fan project, no matter how professionally produced is still a fan project. I think more people will take it seriously if you accepted that.

I'd also recommend not talking it up too much, you're less likely to annoy people and make them less likely to listen to it if you don't show too much ego.

Even though I am involved in the commentary it's actually pretty informative and quite well researched, it was a total accident that we both posted a thread on this forum, but I thought you guys would love a commentary track for this film.

We would love to get your feedback, yes it may not be perfect but we give it a dam good shot, we talk about all aspects of the film and even touch upon the computer games and soundtrack, among numerous other topics too which are related to the film.

It works as quite a nice little pod cast too, it's free after all what's the worst that can happen you download it and you don't like it, if I was not involved I am pretty sure I would like to hear something similar to this.

Anyway thanks for your time and don't let the slime get to you.

The fact that you came here posting it as if you weren't involved in it originally is sketchy. And don't even try to say you didn't, because you didn't point out the fact you were involved. You came here pimping it as an “alternative commentary”, which certainly doesn't imply your involvement.

That coupled with the fact that your friend here has decided to talk it up so much in such an immature and unprofessional way will turn a lot of people off. Based on the way he talks here, I highly doubt the commentary is any good, and I won't be giving it a moment's notice.

A word of advice, if you want people to take you seriously and as professionals, act like them. DV, he diddn't say he wasn't involved, he said “if I was not involved I am pretty sure I would like to hear something similar to this”, but he did specify at the begining that he was indeed involved.(*peter)
