Ghostbusters 3-D

What with the trailer for Avatar looking amazing and 3D technology being far superior to that of 20 years back. do you think going for the old marketing ploy (ie Jaws 3-d, friday 13th 3-d,ermm spykids 3-d) would be a nice addition to the franchise?

Back in the day the idea of 3d was basically “oh look things coming towards us wow!”, but now its about amazing visuals, i saw Christmas carol lastnight and theres no real need to have it in 3D other that it looks amazing, and Avatar looks stunning. I think i would add much to the film, but thats just my opinion…

lets here you spill yours….

I think 3-D lends itself better to computer animation.

I saw Toy Story, and loved it.

I just don't think it fits in necessarily with a live action Ghostbusters movie, but it could probably look cool.

Then again, I think Avatar has an interesting concept, but the animation looks pretty fake. It looks good, but the interaction between the Avatars and the humans looks really fake to me.

it would be pretty cool however knowing how hollywood is it would just be a whole special effects show. I doubt that it would have a good plot and if it did i think a lot of the key points would be missed due to all the special effects i guess i want the 80s sort of version where their are effects but their is more of a realistic feel to it thats just imho

I made this poster concept and posted it over on the GBfans topic on this. Pretty much sums up my fears.

I watched this week Avatar on 3D, and it was an awesome experience… I want GB3 to be made… but if I can watch in on 3D, that´s the cherry at the top.

I voted for no 3D. I know that the script will come first with Murray, etc. but if they go 3D, I have no doubt they pull push gimicky stuff into the film that's just not needed.

I'm indifferent to 3D, I'm not for nor against GB3 being in 3D, I just want the plot to be good above all.

As much as 3D now seems very much a big focal point at cinema's now i really am not that interested in it so if GB3 did go into 3D i just hope there would be an option to watch the movie in normal view, 3D ends up boring me tbh.
